So much for posting regularly...

When I started this blog, I had intended on posting regularly...every week or so, but it appears that I have totally neglected it for almost six months, since I said I wasn't going to neglect it anymore...heh heh. Boy does time fly when you're having fun! Let's hope that the new year brings new energy to this blog...and to my photography. I've got a simple website up and am actively networking on Facebook (shhhhhhhhh don't tell Myspace, but I've bailed on them). I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends who have supported my effort over the past few years with encouragement and love. Those of you who have contributed to my knowledge, I bow down to you.

Alright, enough of the mushy stuff...here are a few photos I took since July. I've not found my focus yet...but I'm really liking the environmental portraits I've been taking.

I found this Katrina flooded bobcat bucket with this toy dog stuck in it.



Here are a few from the Crawfish Festival in Chalmette...my very first!



This couple, supposedly goes to the festival every year...year after year...dressed up like this.

2010 ...What a year. So many things happened. Life changing events. Unfortunately, most not so good...but I won't go there, here. Let's Begin!

T oday I am hoping will be the beginning of this blog. I stopped journaling for a while after the disappearance of my journals from over the past 20 years, but realize now that I need this in order to be a mentally healthy person. So hopefully my busy life will not inhibit me from making entries here on a regular basis. I'm hoping to utilize this blog to show some of my photography until my website is up. April is a very sad month...

Unfortunately we lost a very talented photographer and painter this past month, from Lafayette, Louisiana. Kent Hutslar. I was fortunate enough to have met this man via the internet and over the past year have him give me so much help and encouragement with my photography. He will truly be missed. And while the Earth may bear a new hole now that he is gone...the universe is far richer, because now he will be exploring it. Just imagine all the beautiful art he will create out there...
